Katsumi or Kat Motomiya was the daughter of Davis and Kari she was only 9 years old so she wasnt the bravest person and she wasnt very good at this whole Digidestined thing so she certainly didnt expect to be in the middle of danger this digimon an evil one named Golemon had just attacked her when she was going over to her friend's house just like Kat to leave Hikarumon at home today she screamed dodging an attack.
"Leave me alone!" Kat shouted trying to sound brave but her voice came out as a whimper.
"Chosen of light you will not escape me." Golemon said reaching for her. Kat closed her eyes screaming and waiting for him to grab her she knew she didnt stand a chance against this guy on her own.

Just as Golemon was about to grab Kat a white holy beam hit him sending him backwards hard to the ground as Kibomon was on the air hovering while his partner Takato Takaishi was standing there.
"Why don't you fight someone of your size instead of bully helpless people?" Kibomon said in a imponent voice, he was an Angemon like digimon but he was all white where Angemon had blue on his clothing. Takato walked up to Kat and knelt besides her.
"Are you okay Kat?" He asked her gently as he helped her up.

"Takato senpai it is so good to see you just in time." Kat said happily as Golemon didnt seem to be too happy at being interupted like that.
"Wow is that Korimon's evolved form?" Kat said sounding impressed she was still a little shaken and whimpered when she saw Golemon take a step forward.
"I want the chosen of light dont make me hurt you." Golemon growled Kat wished Hikarumon was here so she could digivolve and help Kibomon fight against this monster these were the times when she didnt like being a chosen child it was too scary she didnt know how her parents did it.

Takato glared at Golemon in the same way his father Takeru "TK" Takaishi used to do it when he got angry. "Like hell we gonna let you touch Kat! Kibomon now!" He yelled as his partner drew out a sword.
"Game over Golemon! Cross of Destiny!!" Kibomon yelled as he slashed down drawing a cross with his slashes which he then threw at Golemon hitting him hard.

Golemon groaned and got up glaring at them.
"This isnt over enjoy your peace while you can it wont last." Golemon said dissapearing. Kat frowned.
"These are the times when I dont want to be Digidestined its too scary." Kat whispered moreso to herself than to anyone else she sighed then looked at Takato senpai.
"Do you want to come over? My house is jsut a few blocks away we should tell my brother and parents that digimon are beginning to apear in the real world it could mean something bad which it probably does." Kat said softly sighing as she looked over at Takato.

Takato smiled and nodded. "Sure thing, actually I was heading to your house to see Dai since we planned to play videogames today but it seems that will be cancelled due to this new menace," he said as Kibomon dedigivolved back to Korimon and landed on Takato's arms. Takato then put a hand on Kat's shoulder.
"Also I know you're scared and don't want to be a digidestined but just remember this. You aren't alone, you have friends that will help you out whenever you need it, there will come a day in which you will be happy of have met the digimon and will be glad of have shared adventures with them." Takato said in a advicing and encouragedly way as he smiled at her.

"Great Im sure Dai will be happy to see you he's planning some prank on this kid at his school honestly Dai will never learn." Kat said giggling as she said this and smiled at Takato.
"I know Takato senpai but I feel I'm not strong enough to be Digidestined I always seem to get in the way and I'm not that brave either." Kat said sighing sadly as she looked at her feet then added "I'm not like my dad or brother always being so courageous in everything." She smiled up at Takato before looking away.

Takato chuckled. "He is a lot like your dad, so it runs in the family, but maybe he has a reason to want to prank that kid?" he asked though with some hint of doubt in that there was really a reason. He then returned to the prior topic.
"You're really strong, maybe you don't see it like that right now, but as you go learning new things, you will see you're capable of more than you had imagined. You're actually more like your mom. Your mom used to feel like you, she felt she wasn't strong as uncle Tai or strong as my dad but eventually she managed to overcome to that and learned that she is strong too," He said with a smile as they arrived to the Motomiya household

"Yeah I know and he said it was because that guy was badmouthing Sam. Big brother's first instant was to beat him up but he said Sam might not want that you know how he's a peacemaker and all." Kat said then giggled as Daiku ran out followed by her angry mother.
"Kat, Kat save me from the rath of our mother!" Dai cried pulling Kat in front of him causing Kat to smile.
"What did you do this time big brother?" Kat said hiding a smile as her mother glared at Dai.
"He put soap and tomato ketchup in the frying pan." Kari said sounding angry causing Kat to sigh and looked over at Takato.
"Guess my brother likes his pranks." Kat said smiling weakly at him.

Takato was doing all in his will to not laugh and after successfully gaining composture he smiled at Kari and bowed respectfully at her. "Hello Aunt Kari, still not getting used to Dai's pranks?" he asked innocently, with a smile that would remind her of TK's at that age.

"Takato man thank god since your Dad and my Mom were good friends think you could protect me from Mom's evil wrath? Honestly and I thought evil digimon were bad." Dai said running behind Takato grabbing onto his shoulders using him as a shield.
"Dai arent you meant to be more courageous like Dad?" Kat teased and Kari sighed but smiled a little.
"Dai, no more adventures for you until you stop the pranking I'm getting your father to confiscate your digivice." Kari said firmly. Dai groaned.
"Aww come on Mom a little help here Takato?" Dai said making big innocent eyes at one of his best friends.

"Usually I wouldn't get on this but this time is necesary," Takato said and then he looked at Kari.
"Aunt Kari you can't get uncle Davis to confiscate Dai's digivice, we need him more than ever. You see, Digimon started to appear here in the real world. A Golemon tried to get rid of Kat, luckily I was on the way here and saw her and managed to help her since I had Korimon with me, so for now put Dai's punishment on hold since we may be facing something really bad related to the digiworld," Takato said as he looked at Dai with a you're so lucky digimon appeared look on his face.

"A...whoa! Kat why didnt you tell us honey?" Kari said rushing over Hikarumon, Kat's digimon soon joining her as they both looked over Kat to make sure she was okay. Kat's cheeks turned pink.
"I'm fine don't fuss." Kat said quietly looking down at her shoes and feeling a little embarassed.
"Thanks for saving her Takato I owe you one man." Dai said forgettign what he was arguing with his Mom about and more concerned about his sister right now.

Takato smiled. "No problem, we're family after all," He said and that was true in all sense since his uncle Matt was married with Jun Motomiya so that made them family.
"Also aunt Kari about why Kat didn't told you, it was because we didn't got time to say anything with you chasing Dai and all," He added while smiling nervously but then he regained his senses.
"We better call the others for a meeting, maybe Mr. Izumi can get us more information about all this." Takato said as Korimon landed besides Hikarumon.
"And that's how all starts in the life of the digidestined," Korimon say with a playful smile.
