About the "Oh, you're jealous of me" dialog that one was US dub only. What TK really told Davis on the japanese version was "You're so funny" so there you have it. US dub changed a lot of dialogs and that makes fans think things about the characters that aren't true. I didnt watch the original i watched two dub versions which made TK look like a real show off who only cares a little about Kari and maybe a little about his digimon.

LP has a point, I'm kinda biased since I saw the US dub of 02 although I have seen some of the original japanese stuff from 02 including TK's fight with Ken.
although TK telling Davis that was out of fun, although I suspect Davis took it too seriously which probably lead to Davis trying to get Veemon to digivolve into an Angemon when he saw TK digivolve Patamon to Angemon when they were outside Andromon's city

Because he cares for Kari its not just a crush Im biased too cause Ive only seen dutch dub and US dub so yeah I may be biased but bottom line I dont like 02 TK Im sorry for those who are offended by this but I dont.

actually TK always teased Davis on that he was better than him for Kari and he always was impressive towards Kari and showed off about that even in US Dub I liked TK in 01 because he was really caring towards all his friends but I feel that changed in 02 he became more into himself and I think Davis would really be a good match for Kari because he can make her feel special but as I said I dont care much for Kari or TK or Davis for that matter but if I had to pair Kari with someone it would be Davis TK didn't teased Davis about being better for Kari. He even congratulated Davis when Kari saw them and said Davis' name first (episode 7 of 02 japanese version). Also TK didn't even got angry when Davis used the fake coin to make him return to the real world. I didn't saw any show off. If you mean about the basketball game, he had right to celebrate, he did a nice shot after all, it wasn't his fault Kari cheered on him for that shot. About Davis taking it seriously. I doubt it was more than a crush, I mean they were in elementary school, what do they know about real love at that age?

Let's see then
Davis did try to get Veemon to digivolve into his champion form after Ken was defeated by using other digimon in costumes which didn't work till he and Veemon accidently walked into Tortomon who was relieving himself which was shown in the Japanese original and cut from the dub, Tortomon chased down Davis and Veemon whom promptly hid behind Cody.

You rlly contradict yourself you know. You Takari fans say that TK and Kari love each other and now your saying Davis's feelings for Kari cant be more than crush than how can you say TK's feelings for Kari are.

Simple, TK already by that point admitted his feelings for Kari back in the episode "His Master's Voice"

Count me out on that. I haven't mentioned Takari at all on my posts. The I care about you thing I know and understand it was US dub only and that it can be just a friendly kind of care.

That I wouldn't know but I do know the US dub did one thing pretty bad in the ep, when Kari's calling out for help she mentions Tai then the National Guard when in the Japanese original she never calls out for the national guard but she calls out to Tai then to TK

TK in the original snapped at Kari because she was too dependant of Tai, she was I'm not stronger like Tai, Tai always protected me when I was like this and so on. TK couldn't take it and said:
"Taichi-san, Taichi-san, Taichi-san! You don't have to call him always Hikari-chan, you don't have to!" or something along those lines, but the three Taichi-san he did said them. I think that what TK was trying to make her see is that she not only has Tai to help her but she has him and all of her friends whenever she need it and also that she is strong too, but she always was like if without Tai she would fall.
I know she cares and loves Tai a lot, he is her brother but TK was right, she was too depending of Tai, even on the japanese version of the movie when they meet Willis, the old digidestined did appeared on the movie (they got transported to a sort of limbo by Willis' corrupted partner Kokomon), TK and Kari were in New York with Mimi. Actually Mimi was the one holding the laptop that was connected to that public phone but she then desappeared right in front of TK and Kari's (and their digimon) eyes. Kari got worried about Tai and inmediately sent a e-mail to Davis and the others to check on him.
In fact the scene where TK and Kari are on that train where TK makes a face when in the US version Kari said that she sent the others a mail and that probably Davis misses her was all altered. In the real scene of the train Kari wasn't sending an e-mail, she was receiving a reply from the e-mail she did sent before. The reason why TK made a face because Yolei on the e-mail told them that she, Cody and Davis were somewhere in Denver after taking a fly by nite service called The Denver Bird (forget all about Yolei's uncles, that was US dub invented).
Actually on the US movie (Digimon The Movie) we missed around 45 minutes of film the US dubbers cut off between scenes and the original ending credits of each movie (they joined the first 3 movies in one and cut off those scenes to link the three movies)

ok thanks for clearing that up yeah Kari is too dependant of Tai sometimes even though I think Tai still blames himself for almost killing Kari when she was little but Kari doesnt even blame him ok irrelevant sorry

It's okay, I always have thought that Tai and Kari's sibling bond sometimes goes to the extremes.
And later we wonder why there are Taikari fics and fanarts and I don't mean simple brotherly love ones but romantic love ones o.oU
Anyhow returning to TK, The dubs do a lot of changes and that get fans off guard and think they're like that even in the original version. And since they only saw dubs they can't really compare the characters with their original version counterparts.
If you see TK on the japanese version you will see he is totally different.
Same with Patamon. The US dub was what made him look more childish. For example that joke on episode 7 after Pegasusmon got hit by Andromon and dedigivolved and fell in TK's arms. Patamon while on TK's arms in the US dub said "I'll take two cheeseburguers and a big order of fries" while in the original version what Patamon said was "Perfect levels are too powerful"
Now perfect level is what in america we know as ultimate level (or ultra in the spanish dub since the word "Shou" as in "Shou Shinka" which is how it is said in japan, translated is Super Digivolve or Ultra Digivolve since "Shou" translated is Super or Ultra and the spanish dub translated it correctly), the thing is that the US dub changed a lot of the dialogs making the characters seem to be show offs, preps, etc.

yeah, the US dub is guilty of that alot.
Dunno if they did any of that in Tamers or Frontier, I know Data Squad got bad dubbing *cringines at the thought of a giant orange passing off as a digimon*
